I’ve a longing in my heart for a closer walk with Thee. How I yearn to feel your presence in my soul. Knowing you are always there just to comfort and to cheer, Makes this world a little easier to bear.

As I gaze into His Word, verse by verse He speaks to me; Guiding me with precious truth along my way. There’s a closeness that I feel as I hear His voice so dear. There’s no cause for me to worry or to fear.

Every day I need Him more as I journey on my way. He’s the rock that guards the fortress of my soul. Though the billows o’re me roll safe am I in His control; So secure within the shelter of His wings.
