Description
Words: by David West
We see the people pass us by and hurry on their way. Too busy with the toils of life to care that Jesus saves; Their hearts lie cold and silent to the truth that must be shared. Lord, give us Your compassion for people everywhere.
Lord, lay some soul upon my heart, Thy mercy to bestow. Wherever souls in darkness hide, Please bid me, Lord, to go. What joy to tell the story how He suffered there for me; And gave Him self a ransom one day on Calvary.
Go tell them of the Saviour’s love. They perish in their night. Who never heard His pleading voice, still waiting for some light. The harvest all but over, soon ’twill be too late to go. Oh, hasten with the message that all the world may know.
Chorus
Open their eyes, Lord, let them see. Turn them from darkness and set them free. Give us a vision for the souls of men, hear now our earnest plea. Open their eyes, Lord let them see.
