Missions Theme Song | So Little Time
Have you ever wished your days could be longer? I think all of us have felt that way at some time or another. Especially on days when it seems there’s so much to do and so little time to get it done.
Longer days and saving energy are a big part of the reason Day Light Savings Time is observed. But, gaining an hour of daylight isn’t enough. We still could use more time.
No Time to Waste to Serve the Lord
Spiritually speaking, what would the Christian be able to do with an extra hour to serve the Lord? All of us realize we have “So Little Time” to serve the Lord. Every day is precious to the believer who is seeking to “redeem the time”. We have a limited time to reach souls, preach the gospel, and influence others for Christ.
In John 9:4 the Bible says, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh when no man can work.” We must use our time wisely for the Lord “while it is day” knowing we have so little time.
A few years back the reality of the preciousness of time struck home. A new missions theme was written that expresses our responsibility to reach the word for Christ while there’s still time. Read the words to this sobering song.
So Little Time
“See the fields they’re white to harvest”
I heard my Savior say,
It’s ready for the reaping
Go now without delay;
There are many souls still searching,
Oh hear, oh hear their cry
before they die.
Chorus
So little time to serve the Lord.
There are people everywhere, living in despair.
So little time, so little time.
The harvest time will end,
The Lord will soon descend,
So little time.
For the world, Daylight Savings Time comes only once a year, but for Christians we know the Lord is in the saving business every day. The return of Christ is soon and our opportunity to witness for Him is limited by the shortness of our days. Let’s not wait until it’s too late.
If you’re looking for a fresh song for missions, So Little Time would be a great choice.
